Valley View Villa has received formal notice of strike action involving CUPE-represented workers, with job action expected to begin on Thursday, April 16, at 8:00am AST.
Our priority remains the safety, care, and wellbeing of our residents. We understand that this situation may be concerning for families, staff, and the broader community.
We have implemented contingency plans to support continuity of care and daily operations. As part of these plans, essential services will continue to be provided, including meals, personal care, and medications, in accordance with requirements for long-term care homes during labour action.
We recognize the important role of our staff and respect the ongoing collective bargaining process. At the same time, we remain focused on ensuring residents continue to receive safe, dependable, and respectful care.
